Advocacy Board

Ongoing student leadership focused on voice, representation, and meaningful campus conversations.

Responsibilities

As a member of the Advocacy Board, I represent student perspectives and contribute to discussions surrounding campus, local, and state-level issues that affect students. My work has focused primarily on transportation access, including evaluating transit reliability, identifying barriers faced by student commuters, and developing recommendations to improve connectivity between campus, transit systems, and surrounding communities.

Impact & Experience

Through this role, I have gained experience in policy research, stakeholder engagement, and public advocacy. I have conducted and analyzed student transportation surveys, communicated findings to fellow student leaders and administrators, and participated in discussions aimed at improving services that directly affect students’ daily lives. The experience has strengthened my ability to gather and interpret feedback, represent diverse perspectives, and contribute to conversations surrounding campus and community issues. It has also given me a deeper understanding of how institutions make decisions and how advocacy can influence meaningful change.
