NASA ORBIT Space
A finalist project for the NASA ORBIT Space Challenge focused on developing a lunar mobility concept to improve astronaut transportation and surface exploration.
Challenge
The NASA ORBIT Space Challenge invited student teams to address real capability gaps identified by NASA. My team selected a challenge related to lunar surface mobility and developed a mission-aligned concept intended to support future exploration efforts under initiatives such as Artemis and Moon to Mars.
My Role
As a member of the project team, I contributed research and systems analysis related to lunar surface operations and mobility constraints. I evaluated environmental and operational factors such as terrain interaction, lunar dust, stability, and astronaut safety to help conceptually develop a feasible lunar mobility system. Beyond technical research, I organized project documentation, synthesized findings from multiple sources, and assessed our design throughout the project's development. This role required balancing technical considerations with practical mission requirements to successfully address a NASA Civil Space Shortfall.
